Vacuum pumps and low-pressure blowers

Liquid Ring Compressors

Low-pressure liquid ring blowers NASH are designed for stable and safe gas compression up to 3 bar. They utilize a proven liquid ring principle that ensures reliable operation even under demanding process conditions.

The units are primarily used in wastewater treatment, biogas (digester gas) compression, and aeration systems. They are also suitable for other industrial processes requiring reliable low-pressure gas compression.

  • Technical Parameters
The maximum discharge pressure reaches up to 30 PSIG (3 bar(g)). The blowers are designed for low-pressure operation within this range. Water is used as the standard operating (sealing) liquid; in case of process incompatibility, an alternative operating liquid may be applied depending on the medium.
  • Design and Materials
The blowers are available in stainless steel, ductile iron, or other materials depending on gas chemical compatibility and specific application requirements.
  • Operating Principle and Performance Characteristics
The liquid ring principle operates without direct metal-to-metal contact between the rotor and the compressor casing. This design concept ensures stable compression characteristics and reduces mechanical wear.
  • Configuration Flexibility
Selected NASH vacuum pumps can also be configured as low- or medium-pressure blowers, enabling integration into process lines while maintaining equipment design continuity.
