What do frog legs, the first electric battery and electroplating have in common? The answer takes us back to the 18th century and the Italian scientist Luigi Galvani. His experiments with electricity helped spark research that later contributed to the development of electrochemistry and modern surface treatment technologies.
The Galvano & Elox 2026 conference, which we hosted this year in Brno, offered a professional program focused on electroplating processes, anodizing, and related technologies. In addition to the lectures, there was also space for sharing experience, practical demonstrations, and informal networking.
We are pleased to announce that testing laboratory No. 1810, accredited by the Czech Accreditation Institute (ČIA) under ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018, has been officially listed among accredited bodies. This important milestone confirms that we conduct tests with a focus on accuracy, repeatability, and impartiality – in line with international quality standards.
With the production and development of technological units for surface treatment and coating comes the need for testing technologies and products. As the number of request from our clients grows and innovations develop, there is also a need to not only be one step ahead, but also to think ahead. That's why we built our own Surface Quality Institute (SQI) laboratory with state-of-the-art technical equipment including a metallographic microscope and two salt chambers.
